Phobias - Block Clearance Therapy

It is believed that phobias are the most common type of anxiety disorder in the UK, impacting roughly 10 million people, and can cause not only increased anxiety, but also depression. Phobias, otherwise known as irrational fears, can relate to anything, be it situations, places, objects, people and more.

Phobias can be caused by trauma in childhood, or we can absorb other people’s negative belief patterns and phobias when we are more susceptible during childhood, e.g. if your family member has a phobia of spiders, you may well learn or believe that it is safer to have a phobia of spiders too.

The most common types of phobias include:

Snakes (Ophidiophobia)

Flying (Aerophobia)

Spiders (Arachnophobia)

Moths (Mottephobia)

Commitment (Gamophobia)

Death (Thanatophobia)

Needles (Trypanophobia)

Nettles (Cnidophobia)

Open Spaces (Agoraphobia)

Enclosed Spaces (Claustrophobia)

Vomiting (Emetophobia)

Public Speaking (Glossophobia)

How Block Clearance Therapy can help

Phobias produce more of a response for an individual than having a fear of something - it is a terror of that thing. In Block Clearance Therapy we understand how phobias can impact an individual’s life, and in more severe cases, can dictate what a person does, or doesn’t do, in order to avoid the thing causing their phobia. It can limit one’s freedom, and can take control of one’s life in a bid to reduce their anxiety levels, whilst at the same time reinforcing that there is something out there that makes you feel incredibly anxious and terrified - it can feel like a vicious never-ending circle, but it doesn’t have to be.

Block Clearance Therapy takes a different approach to most therapies. We look to find the emotional cause associated with the particular phobia, and where it comes from within your subconscious mind and your primary patterning (within the womb to 5 years old). As an example, a phobia of snakes will usually be linked to a terror of change in one’s life, perhaps things were chaotic in an individual’s childhood, or changes brought about perceived negative consequences. By understanding the emotional cause, we can look to release the block which had been created, tackling the issue directly with a view to permanent change.

Through BCT you will see and understand what caused this phobia or these phobias for you. Your subconscious will direct us to what needs to be seen, understood and released, to allow you to move forward on your unique journey. Therefore, some people may only need one session on this, whilst others may require a few sessions. The individual’s subconscious directs us to what will best serve them.

Positive affirmations tailored to your session will be provided to reinforce the releasing of the block you have cleared, allowing you to remind your subconscious daily that this is a pattern which no longer serves you, and instead, you want to replace this old negative pattern with a positive one instead.

BCT is for those who want to change their negative patterns at a deep level within their subconscious and experience something different to most therapies - if you would like to transform your life please book here.
