Anxiety - Block Clearance Therapy
Do you worry all the time and feel your negative thinking is taking over?
Around 30% of GP visits in the UK relate to mental health issues, most of which are anxiety or depression related.
Experiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. However, people with anxiety disorders frequently have intense and persistent worries and fears about everyday situations. It is common for anxiety disorders to include repeated episodes of sudden feelings of fear or terror that reach a peak within minutes, otherwise known as panic attacks.
Anxiety can impact any of us, although teenagers through to 30 year olds are affected the most, and as we get older, the level of anxiety tends to reduce. This makes sense, because whilst we are younger, we are finding our way in the world, trying to understand what we are meant to do, and what our goals and purposes are. Add on top of this social media, pressure to look good and be good at all times, and to follow a certain prescribed path, namely, coming out of education and searching for jobs and work to make ends meet - it makes sense that this can be an anxious and worrying time.
What this can do to us is increase the level of anxiety we experience, and also increase the level of stress that is put onto our body and our mind. If you imagine our ancestors in times gone by, the hunter gatherers of our past, we can understand that there would have been incredibly stressful times where they found themselves in fight or flight situations, being attacked for example by another tribe or an animal, and cortisol was spiked. This stress was beneficial, as it allowed them to deal with a perceived threat, or stressor. We can also imagine that aside from these extreme situations, the rest of their life may have been a slower pace than it is for us today. Nowadays, whilst the majority of us don’t find ourselves in such extreme environments, we find ourselves experiencing stress regularly through the pressure to succeed, or the pressure to look or act a certain way, for example.
Women are impacted by anxiety more than men in the UK, around 37% of women compared to 30% of men. This has increased significantly in the past 10 - 15 years, going from around 20% in both women and men. In the last 5 years, we must appreciate that our environment has caused a great deal of unpredictability and uncertainty, which has only increased levels of anxiety, globally.
Common types of anxiety include Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder (panic attacks), Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
It’s estimated that in any given week, 6% of people are diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and in the UK, around 17% of the population report having experienced a mental health problem like anxiety or depression in recent times.
Symptoms of anxiety can include:
Feeling nervous or tense
Regularly sensing impending danger or panic
Increased heart rate
Sweating and trembling
Breathing rapidly
Feeling weak or tired
Trouble concentrating on anything other than the present worry
Difficulty sleeping
Trying to avoid anything that might trigger anxiety

How Block Clearance Therapy can help

In Block Clearance Therapy we understand that anxiety can impact your ability to live your life, especially if it's persistent, strong, or hard to control. Anxiety can be manageable in low doses with healthy self-care practices, but when we experience too much anxiety, we can find ourselves suffering from more erratic mood swings, feeling angry, fearful and so on.
We take a different approach to most therapies. We look to find the emotional cause associated with the anxiety, and where it comes from within your subconscious mind and your primary patterning (within the womb to 5 years old). By understanding the emotional cause, we can look to release the block which had been created, tackling the issue directly with a view to permanent change.
Someone suffering with anxiety will tend to find it hard to trust their journey in life, their path and the direction they are headed in. They may not agree with what is happening around them, causing them to reject certain things in life. By understanding where this disconnection to trust originates from, we can begin to understand how to release this pattern to gain more trust within the process of an individual’s life, so they can move forward within more positivity.
Through BCT you will see and understand what caused these patterns of anxiety for you. Your subconscious will direct us to what needs to be seen, understood and released, to allow you to move forward on your unique journey. Therefore, some people may only need one session on this, whilst others may require a few sessions. The individual’s subconscious directs us to what will best serve them.
Positive affirmations tailored to your session will be provided to reinforce the releasing of the block you have cleared, allowing you to remind your subconscious daily that this is a pattern which no longer serves you, and instead, you want to replace this old negative pattern with a positive one instead. Clients can then take back control within their lives, trusting in the process of life and enabling them to have more balanced thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
BCT is for those who want to change their negative patterns at a deep level within their subconscious and experience something different to most therapies - if you would like to transform your life please book here.
